Psychotherapy and Counseling Services

My approach is primarily Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). However, I integrate other approaches such as Psychodynamic theory and Family Systems. At times, therapy will be directed towards learning to cope and successfully manage chronic conditions such as depressive disorders and anxiety disorders. Other times therapy may be to gain personal growth, healthier relationships, and/or self-awareness. Many times clients are in need of support and guidance during various life transitions/stressors such as dating, marriage, divorce, or pregnancy.

"As a professional I strive to meet all clients where their needs are and assist in creating goals, discovering strengths and developing essential coping skills for all life’s hardships—regardless of how small or large.."

In my experience as clinical therapist I have had the opportunity to work with an array of clients, all coping with different struggles and hardships.  My therapeutic approach is cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), however I believe it is essential to incorporate and utilize other therapeutic techniques when needed. I have extensive experience working with depression, anxiety and trauma victims, especially clients dealing with domestic violence and sexual assault.I believe with a safe atmosphere and strong counseling relationship, healing and learning to successfully cope with all of life’s challenges is possible.
